When I don't feel that good, I still pretty much have to do the things that have to be done and rest a lot in between.
One of our wire haired dachshunds feels it is her personal duty to cuddle with the sick person for the entire day if need be.
It probably confuses her that I sink onto the couch and sleep for an hour or so and then get up, leave the house for a while and then come back and repeat the process.
Tomorrow I hope I feel better.

i heart your dachsund. my golden retriever is kind of big to snuggle on the couch with, but he does come over and snudge me with his cold, wet nose, or drip his drinking water on me. much wellness to you today. i feel ya'.

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how empathetic and intuitive a dog can be. I used to take my dogs to the nursing home when my Grandmother was still with us. To see them change from rambunctious, rowdy animals to suddenly becoming the most gentle, well-behaved - it was amazing.
