Bird Gone Softly

My oldest daughter's little bird died sometime in the night.
We are sad and more than a little blind sided, there was nothing wrong with it up until yesterday morning and we have only had it for about 3 weeks.

I had posted about it with yesterday's photo but removed it - I don't know why, I just did.
Will post today's picture later.

I do have a question of the Universe - why does this always seem to happen on a holiday weekend?

    awww I'm sorry. I lost my first parakeet that way. He was fine and then he...just wasn't.

    here's hoping the next one stays with you for a long time.
