my youngest son has golden skin and hands that like to slip into mine and hang on,
and gentle fingers with small children and animals,
and he likes to squeeze and mold the clay on the wheel,
we have many, many bowls that he has made...
and his sisters too,
i keep things in them, feed the dogs with them, eat cereal and salad out of them and watch them stack up, wondering sometimes what to do with them all and so grateful to have to try and figure that out.
What a fantastic photo! Such strength in those gentle fingers.
ReplyDeletemakes me so wistful, I loved my pottery classes, I was able to totally let the world fall away. I also miss having the kids around holding my hand and creating wonderful things I need to figure out what to do with :)
