Oh, I love the smell of clothes that have been dried in the sun.

ReplyDeleteAt our old home a few years back, we didn't have a drier at all. Unfortunately, we also had very few days where we could hang clothes outside. Thankfully, we had a huge room where I could rig up some lines, but even with the dehumidifier going all day, it would take 3 days for them to dry in the summer (in the winter, they'd dry overnight).
Now, if we tried hanging them on the balcony, they'd come in dirtier than they started - or with cigarette burns from the butts people above us toss off their balconies. *sigh*

I grew up hanging clothes on the line. Now I wouldn't give up my dryer for anything, but I love this picture - it's so evocative and the colors are so rich!
ReplyDeleteyes i love the smell of sun-dried clothes too...thats the only way we dried our clothes back in india.....but then it' s a tropical country with plenty of sunshine......and driers are not affordable (always).....:)
