in a week away
our tiny, green crab apples
changed
not that much bigger
but definitely
no longer green
(I noticed them as I was out in the backyard this morning, rinsing out the coolers as part of the "after camping" chores. Sleeping bags are hung on the line in the sun and the washing machine is toiling away and I suspect, it will be for the rest of the .)

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

All my potted lilies bloomed and faded during our vacation this summer! :( At least you can still enjoy your crabapples. Good luck with all the laundry...
Going away is fun but so much work when you get back! Lovely crabapples, I really like the shot with the red against the green.
I love this shot, the shape of the crab apples against the bokeh, is fascinating.
