and burnished metal palms
the view outside the windows was surreal
a sphinx, a pyramid, a golden cube and a fairy castle
shimmering at the end of the tarmac

That was one of the things that amazed me about Vegas - slot machines everywhere. And I mean everywhere - even the laundromats! ;)
when I had to fly through Vegas when Elle was 6 weeks old, I could NOT go into the slots area...
it was pretty funny!
