but it isn't actually true
this is a pond in a city park
and the ice is thick enough for a pick up truck with a dozer blad to drive on it
but not for a large and really heavy water truck which they use to flood the ice and make it smooth
so the sign could rightly say
"danger thin ice tanker trucks keep off"
