Getting in close to something like this weed seed cradled by a dandelion leaf, can give the impression that I am sitting with my camera in a rural meadow.
Not on the ragged edge of grass ribbon between the pottery studio and the asphalt of the road in the light industrial section of town.
My two youngest kids rabbited back and forth between me and a big patch of weeds, bringing more of the cobweb like seeds, everytime the breeze snatched the ones I had away.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

*L* I can just see your kids running back and forth with the seeds for you!
The photo sure makes their efforts worthwhile. :-D Beautiful.

I like both the photo and your description of the bigger picture.
Fabulous shot! Good for your kids doing the leg work!
I like the perspective and composition of this and the story about the kids being involved made me smile!
Wow-where have I been? These are wonderful pictures I've missed. You're amazing. And your words are always so lovely.
