snowbirds roaring in the white hot sky!
made my heart pound and my face break into one of those uncontrollable, cheek stretching grins
an airshow
the first one in years and years
since I was a kid
an air force brat
I have avoided them for a long time
crowded and noisy
but my kids had never been to one
and OH how they wanted to go!
(I think we are going to go back again next year!)

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

Spectacular shot!
wow! just looking makes me feel again the rumble of vibration in my chest and gut that i always feel at air shows. it's the reason i go to them, when i do that on occasion. i agree -- the crowds blow. but it's usually worth it in retrospect.
So cool!!
love this pic and the new look too....
happy summer!
Great shot of the planes in formation. I have always enjoyed the air shows, but haven't been in a while.
What a cool picture!
Beautiful photo.
I used to sell t-shirts at airshows. No interesting in seeing any more. *L* My kids don't like noise or crowds, and have made it clear they have NO interest in seeing any.
Makes it easier on the pocketbook, if nothing else! ;-)
A.

Like the new banner.
