This is one of the first times that my youngest child has been able to play with only her shadow for company - that she has actually wanted to and has enjoyed herself.
And that is a very big deal indeed.
Canon Rebel xti, shutter 1/3999,f 1.8, 50mm, iso 100
Tonight I did indeed enter some of my shots in the photo club monthly competition and it was a good experience - the most harrowing part, aside from actually entering - was volunteering for a public critique.
I learned some stuff - more on that tomorrow.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

Perfection :)
bubbles are such a glorious thing!
which reminds me I bought some for my kids at Easter and then forgot, so I will get them out right now!!
I love bubbles and this is a really cool shot!
What beautiful shadow shapes! I love that you only showed shadows - there is a bit of mystery about this photo :)
well done youngest child and well done you for submitting for public critique. Very brave.
Great picture.
thats very brave of you, gawdess. Consciously opening one's art to critique requires some courage. But it must be a great learning experience for you, am sure :)
love the image.
And because I know you have a Canon XTi, i wanted to ask you this: I may be investing in a DSLR soon (I think it's time now I learned more about digital photography myself as there's only so much one can do with a point and shoot like mine). I have been dithering between a Nikon D40 and XTi. have you used a D40 before? would you suggest a D40 over an XTi???
