Carried the camera with me everywhere today, found this rusty hinge on a gate at the park half block from my house.
When I took it, I didn't expect this to be the one I would post, it was my last shot - but I lke it.
Canon Rebel xti, shutter 1/250, f5.0, 41mm, iso 100

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

Isn't it amazing, which pictures turn out to be the good ones? I love to see how stuff we normally just pass by turn out to have such beauty in them, when we take the time to stop and look.

I often find that the "throwaway" pictures - the ones you think you'll end up deleting - turn out to be the most interesting!
Ooooooo. Rusty & crusty.
It's wonderful. I love it. And I find it's true-sometimes it's the last shot, spur of the moment, that ends up being the winner.
