Our youngest turned nine today.
Among her presents was an odd contraption that looked like a plastic sword with scabbard. Fill the scabbard with bubble solution and the "sword" turns into a huge bubble wand at the squeeze of a trigger.
Massive bubbles filled our neighborhood this afternoon and early this evening.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

oh, gawdess. this is exquisite. and beautiful. and timed so very well. the reflection is perfect, as are the colors.
Oh wow - that's an exceptional shot! Look at that reflection in the bubble! Love the color too! Great shot.
This is awesome. The colors, the reflection, the clarity, the sharpness. Perfect!
Magical!
THAT is the bubble shot I was after the other day! Excellent :) RJ's was very similar to that, but not a sword. Made huge bubbles, though.
astonishing!!!
Fantastic photo! The bubble really picks up the and reflects the colors all around it.
whoa!!!!!! that's some shot, gawdess!!!! and a very happy 9th b'day to your daughter :)
I love the reflection of the tree branches in the bubble. So cool! And Happy Birthday to your baby!!
Happy Birthday youngest. What a fantastic picture - very sharp and beautiful colours. I love bubbles!
And I forgot to say as well that the reflection is fantastic!
That is so cool.
Awesome shot--and awesome bubble!
Fantastic! You caught the bubble perfectly!
Happy Birthday to Youngest, too. I hope she had a great day. :-D
A.
Happy birthday to youngest. I love the whole series of shots.
oh my goodness! what a stunning photo! I love how you captured all the colors and reflections so clearly - beautifully done!
oops! got carried away with the photo... and a most Happy Birthdy to your young lady too! :)
Happy Birthday to your daughter!
I love this bubble shot. If you cropped it down to just a square around the bubble the upside-down-right-side-up silhouettes would be even more dramatic.
I find taking pictures of soap bubbles to be very difficult. Maybe I need a nine year old with a contraption to manufacture them.
