hydrangea

hydrangea, originally uploaded by gawdessness.

The colour is unbelievable.
"You mean it's not dyed?" My oldest daughter is incredulous.

They don't grow here, only in pots and only once a year.
You can order them from some florists.

My absolute favourite flower.
My favourite colour.

Blue hydrangeas here are much more pale blue. Gorgeous.

I love hydrangeas too. They were our wedding flowers. (It's hard to get blue flowers in the winter!)

Stunning colour - I love how the light from behind makes it glow.

Lovely. Hydrangea changes color depending on the soil composition, right? You've got good dirt for blue. (put that on your resume)

This photo will cause me to take another look at hydrangea, of which I am usually not particularly fond.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life.
