The other side of the moon eclipse.
It was breath taking and wonderous to behold.
And...frustrating for me to actually figure out how to get the image I want - but I ended up being happy with the process and the varying images.
I spent too much time fruitlessly trying to get flickrtoys to work to make a mosiac of six of the moon shots - and ended up going with my favourite one, very monochromatic seeming after the red stain of earlier.
My other attempts to shoot the moon are here
This monochromatic one is my favourite.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

Fantastic and beautiful.
Great sequence of the eclipse!
words don't suffice.
amazing.
This is the best one, IMO, and it works so great against the black background you've got here. Really nice. Wonder why the flickrtoys mosaic wasn't working?
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for this.
!!!! That's a fantastic shot! Really nice work.
Excellently done!
oh, gawdess. wow. my jealousy is overweening. ;-) i agree with scriv that this is the best one, but the one with the tree silhouetted is my very close second fave. you know my love affair with trees.
i had a student who stayed up for hours to videorecord the whole eclipse. i love my students.
Wow!
They are all gorgeous! None of mine are that sharp and clear.
Fabulous! I tried to see the eclipse but it was completely overcast so I am thrilled to find your pictures.
