Liquid glass and low light experiments

The picture that is my one of the day is this one.
A picture of pitchers, if you will.
It is the one I took a the end of the evening, at the Lebanese restaurant, while waiting for my delicious chicken shwarma. (shutter 1/125, f1.8, 50mm, iso400)

At the very beginning of the being out and about I took this picture of the government building.
This is one of my very, very favourite landmarks, not too far away from the large, iron bridge of yesterday. I stepped out of the passenger side of the Smart car, then leaned my heavily winter coated self on it for stability and tried for this shot. I was astonished and squeaked with joy that it worked out the way it did. (shutter 1/15, f1.8, 50mm,iso 400)

This one, is from the middle, after our appointment and before our dinner, and I was shivering too much to take the clear shot of the silver gray branches against the night sky but I ended up loving the painting with light effect that I think I got. (shutter 1.3, f1.8, 50mm, iso 400)

Those are lovely photos, I particularly like the glasses - they look so shiny and new.

Love that 50mm. These are all great. The mix of warm and cool in the reflections of the first shot are just wonderful.

More than anything, I'm glad the shots made you happy!!

All wonderful. I'm with Ampersand-the thought of you squeaking with joy is terrific. That's what this is all about, isn't it?

I like all the photos, but I'm digging the glasses. Something about all the reflective surfaces that is intriguing.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life.
