tangerine sky

tangerine sky, originally uploaded by gawdessness.

The sky was really that colour (except way, way more marmalade - honest and for true) and if felt so surreal and it was so fleeting that pushing the shutter button made me feel like I was capturing time.

Today was a good day for pictures, maybe they all are and I just forget to notice.

rebel xti, shutter 1/800, 300mm, iso 1600

wow! eerie but cool! whenever it's like that here in socal, it's because there's a wicked fire burning somewhere nearby or in a neighboring county. really cool shot!

Makes me think of the Nat King Cole song - "Orange Colored Sky". :) What a gorgeous color that is!

WONDERFUL! I wish I could have seen it in person. I'm so glad you caught this for us.

Really beautiful. I like the dark silhouettes along the bottom as a contrast too.

gorgeous - that puts the standard pinks and blues to shame.

Just beautiful..... aren't sunsets just amazing? And you are right: they are so fleeting. Beautiful capture.

SO, so pretty. Hey can you change your comment preferences so that people OTHER than Google/Bloggers can comment? I have to use my google account which is linked to an ancient blogger account. Normally I use Wordpress and would love to have my comments linked back to my current blog.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life.
