The light in our ensuite is always good during the day, soft, clear and white (and kind).
I didn't think I would have time or opportunity to take many pictures today and I was right, so after my run and a nap (because I am battling a bug of some kind that both my daughters are down with right now) - I grabbed my small camera, set the timer function and tottered into the bathroom to see what I could see.
Now everyone can.
This self portraiture thing? I find it a little bit hard - talk about putting yourself out there...
I am getting better at having the lens pointed at me and I am more understanding of others who don't like it pointed at them.

When I ask to photograph someone, it is because I love the way they look and I think I make that clear. I'm paying them a tremendous compliment. What I'm saying is, I want to take you home with me and look at you for the rest of my life. - Amy Arbus

Kath you are so damn beautiful! I LOVE this shot!
Wonderful shot. :-D
And you're a braver woman than I am. *L* I totally understand how weird it would feel with the self-portrait thing.
A.
I think it's lovely. you have a graceful nose and your eyes are the iciest shade of blue.
You are braver than me. You know Scrivener? He is the master of self portraits. I can't imagine doing that . I like being on THIS side!
This is a wonderful shot. As soon as I saw it, I thought, I would like to be friends with this person. You look kind, and very thoughtful.
Oh, this is such a beautiful shot of such a beautiful woman. :-)
Self-portraits are hard to do and to post :) I really like the soft light and relaxed feel this one has. Nice job.
you inspired me to do a self portrait today. :)
self-portraits are wicked hard! i hate them. but i'm still pushing myself to try them. haven't gone there in a while. must be time again. not only are you brave, but you manage to get some really good ones!
i agree with susan -- scriv is the sp god! we all aspire to his level of self-confidence. :-)
you're right about the light in your place. abundant, white, and kind.
You are so pretty!!
You have beautiful eyes. Great shot :)
You are so beautiful and brave and clever. I especially like the brushes in the background and how the camera lens is half off the mirror. The light is wonderful on your soft skin.
beautiful, of course.
thanks for revealing yourself to us, I understand it's challenges.
and I'm still swooning over your eyes -- the color and the gaze. :)
Wow, I came over to say how much I like this shot and now I'm blushing. Especially since every shot I've taken in at least a week has sucked so bad that I'm having a hard time bothering to post them.
I like how you look both relaxed and posed at the same time. The hand over the head, the angle of your face in the mirror, it totally works.
What a beautiful, brave shot. You look gorgeous and I guess it was a reasonably challenging shot to take technically. You're certainly a lot braver than me, I've only managed the back of my head!
